National Healthcareer Association (NHA), a brand within Ascend Learning Healthcare, is searching for a seniordirector of marketing to lead marketing efforts for NHA. The ideal candidate will possess strong product marketing expertise, marketing communications experience, an entrepreneurial mindset, and an ownership attitude. Reporting to the Ascend Learning Healthcare chief marketing officer, the ideal candidate will have a history of developing targeted strategies for holistic marketing programs, building brand relevance, executing on data analysis insights to refine programs, and optimizing marketing campaigns to generate leads and drive loyalty and engagement. This person needs to be a creative/critical thinker, a transformer, a curious self-starter, an innovator, a leader, a collaborator, and a brand ambassador at heart.   

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Overall functional responsibility for product marketing, brand marketing, multi-channel demand generation and b2c/eCommerce. 
  • Lead the planning and execution of optimal go-to-market strategies. 
  • Represent the voice of the customer by listening, analyzing customer needs, staying ahead of the rapidly evolving market landscape, and keeping tabs on competitors to inform positioning, competitive differentiation, and commercial strategy 
  • Lead the development of compelling and persuasive foundational differentiation positioning articulating buyer-specific value propositions 
  • Lead the planning and execution of cross-functional product launches. 
  • Partner with sales leadership to enable sales teams with the tools and training to drive results. 
  • Collaborate to drive alignment across product, sales, customer success and marketing to define appropriate strategy and go-to-market activities. 
  • Measure marketing results based on impact on revenue and customer engagement and  
  • Scale the marketing team and lead, inspire, and cultivate the development of team members; seek to constantly remove roadblocks and strengthen capabilities 
  • Collaborate with the segment leader on strategic plans to grow the business.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills ability to synthesize large amounts of data into coherent recommendations 
  • Highly effective listening and critical thinking skills with deep demonstrated commitment to understanding customer needs 

 

Education & Experience 

 

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles with progressive responsibility 
  • Product marketing experience, demonstrated management of multi-channel demand generation / lead generation campaigns and initiatives 
  • Specific experience marketing to healthcare and/or higher education segments a plus 
  • Experience hiring and developing talented marketers and building highly effective teams  
  • Budget management and experience managing outside consultants, agencies, freelancers, and service providers 
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA a plus 
  • Experience with Pragmatic Marketing framework a plus
