  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working on vacuum equipment design, operation, construction, diagnostics, or troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Key knowledge of vacuum equipment design, operation, construction, diagnostic instrumentation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, particularly in the PVD coatings, aerospace, or automotive field.
  • Familiarity with the programming or use of advanced electronic equipment controls (PLC, SCADA, etc.).
  • A strong ability to work independently (as well as in a team) and balance multiple projects at the same time.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to maintain accurate process development and control documentation.
  • Good communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
This 1 st shift Technician position will be located in the Howmet Research Center. This position is responsible for the operation and upkeep of HRC's EB-PVD (electron beam physical vapor deposition) coating furnace, as well as for supporting process development efforts on that equipment. This position will also support Howmet's production coating facilities on EB-PVD equipment and process development, as well as our casting facilities with vacuum furnace leak detection, troubleshooting, and RGA (residual gas analyzer) operation.

Occasional off-shift work hours and overtime may be required. Travel may be required. Apply
