Warehouse and Secondary Operations Manager (Finance)
Minimum of Bachelor's degree is required, preferred to be in Engineering, Business or Operations.
Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Minimum of three (3) years of that time in leadership roles.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Howmet Fastening Systems is looking for a Warehouse and Secondary Operations Manager. This roles is accountable for management of all resources assigned to with full profit & loss responsibility. Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to facilitate on-time delivery of quality products to customers while maximizing profitability. Manage raw materials and finished goods inventories to control inventory investment and achieve targeted inventory turns. Maintain a positive employee relations climate. Manage factory environmental health and safety performance. This position will be based in our Waco, TX plant.
Role and Responsibilities:
Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment.
Prepares work order for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment.
Confers with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing.
Directs salvage of damaged or used material.
Participates in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities.
Site Import Compliance Specialist and ensures all manufactured finished products and raw materials are effectively managed to meet all US government import laws and regulations.
Provides vendors internal and external with information to ensure compliance to US laws.
Confirms maintenance/retention of local files relating to purchasing, receipt and payment as defined in US Customs a(1) Recordkeeping requirements.
Assists in clearing shipments through US Customs by contacting appropriate local staff to obtain needed information.
Assist with development/implementation of export compliance procedures.
Ensure inclusion of Compliance Information on documents as needed.
Completion of compliance reports/records and non-compliance reporting.
Monitors Foreign Visitors within facility
Provide guidance and oversee accurate preparation of export and shipping documentation for international shipments by personnel at location.
Manages location's compliance with U.S. and foreign export regulations - including ITAR, EAR, OFAC, FTSR and other regulatory agencies.
Export ASAT compliance reporting.
Ensures full compliance with all Howmet and government Environmental Health & Safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Ensures that profit targets are consistently met or exceeded.
Directs Encapsulation and Packaging in producing desired volume and quality of products according to production schedules and engineering specifications.
Directs production, inventory control, and purchasing activities. Coordinates with Quality Assurance to produce products conforming to documented specifications.
Provides input to the Division budget development process for assigned departments.
Provides technical assistance to sales personnel and other internal manufacturing operations.
Analyzes and directs the preparation of Capital Appropriation Requests to secure required capital equipment for projects which meet or exceed capital return targets.
Analyze manufacturing operations within the assigned departments and fosters an environment of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and teamwork.
Directs the activities of assigned human resources and makes recommendations on hiring, disciplinary actions, promotions, terminations and salary adjustments.
Maintains regular contact with personnel to monitor operations and remedy employee relation's issues, seeking HR Department involvement when required.
Interfaces with the Division management team to develop and evaluate policies and programs.
Makes frequent contacts with suppliers to investigate quality problems, expedite orders, and negotiate pricing.
Establishes and maintains positive relationships with all levels of internal and external customers.
Performs all tasks involving hazardous chemicals or hazardous wastes in accordance with the SPCC Plan, RCRA regulations, and operation procedures outlined in the Huck Environmental Management System.
Maintains full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with the Howmet Guide to Business Conduct.
Demonstrates a knowledge of and commitment to lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
