Process Engineer
LOCATION
Cincinnati
REPORTS TO
Production Manager, Process
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and Manage a core operations/process team
Serve as single point of contact for the department on major projects with corporate and site engineering team
Develop technical mastery of the operations within the business at a fundamental level
Assist in the technical training of the operating teams on equipment and processes
Provide technical leadership within cross functional teams to deliver initiatives and department projects
Accountable for improving performance and driving out loss in the organization
Identifies and advances cost savings and process improvement opportunities
Participates in Daily Direction Setting Meetings (DDS) for the Department and Plant
Manages quality issues that arise; determines root cause for issue and works to mitigate the issue
Effectively coaches plant safety key element and zone system owners
Role model's safe behaviors, sense of urgency and gap analysis and coach's teams in these areas
Leads focused improvement activities
Link to R&D and Quality to coordinate test plans and experimental orders
Provide data on project-related quality issues
Utilizes the change management system for new projects or initiatives
Ensure correct, up-to date technical information is readily available and being used by the operating team
Responsible for Reliability within the department
Education
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field is required, preferably mechanical or chemical
Experience
2-5 years of process engineering experience is preferred
Previous people management experience is preferred
Previous plant experience is preferred
Other
Technical knowledge of pumps, heat exchangers, agitators, centrifuges, and vacuum systems
Strong ability to lead large capital projects
Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationship with plant technical resources
Strong organizational, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in team environment
Ability to teach and lead others
