Data Reporting & Projects Analyst (Information Technology)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

Application Support: Engages with IT, Product and Project Managers as new products and initiatives are rolled out.  Troubleshoots and provides back-up support to Administrators on key applications and technologies with the Commercial Division. At the direction and under the guidance of the Commercial Analytics & Project Manager, participates in work related to the development, modification, maintenance, and support of applications for the Commercial Services Division by:       

  • Configuring, and administering technologies and platforms for the Commercial Division at the direction of the Administrators and in their absence. Troubleshoots and collaborates with team members to understand workflows and business processes to increase automation within the division.
  • Providing support in the administration of the Commercial Loan Origination platform. Administration responsibilities include system configuration, system maintenance, report writing, maintaining written procedures and system/document customization as applicable.
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge on specifically assigned Commercial Loan Origination platforms, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform and key integration points to ensure Salem Five is maximizing system capabilities. May be called upon as expert within the division to train other employees and to assist clients with end user training and issue resolution when necessary.
  • Acting as technical expert and resource, triaging issues, and engaging in system/customer problem resolution as required. Commercial Loan Origination System (LOS) and other commercial lending products would be within the purview of responsibility.
  • Acts as primary administrator of relationship management for commercial lending. This includes routine maintenance and review of all relationships in the Core Banking platform, Loan Origination System (LOS), and all management reporting related to commercial relationships.
  • Acting as administrator of the LOS Client Portal. Provide support to end users and clients as needed.  Build, maintain and review all system emails and tracking items associated to the client portal.
  • Prepare reporting for commercial lending audits (internal and external) as needed.
  • Primary administrator of the commercial lending SharePoint pages. Facilitate quarterly meetings with key resources in all areas of commercial lending and compliance. Updates and provide fresh content to the SharePoint pages as needed.
  • Testing and validation for new product and release rollouts, either independently or as team contributor. Facilitates all testing with key resources of Commercial LOS QA  environment prior to major releases.

Data Analytics & Reporting: Responsible for working with Manager to ensure data integrity and to create and distribute reports on a recurring and ad hoc basis by:

  • Leveraging existing reports and supporting management in the creation of new system reports & dashboards using relevant and insightful data for interpretation for business/regulatory purposes.  
  • Using available data to identify business trends and other additional information useful in the analysis and identification of business development opportunities.
  • Acting as Commercial Services Division representative on various projects. Provides input on behalf of the Commercial Lending group and ensures the Division's interests and needs are represented & communicated.  Brings insight and information related to various enterprise-wide initiatives back to Commercial leadership. 
  • Supports manager and works independently and/or as back-up preparing and organizing required reports, correspondence, memos, and other necessary documentation. Works with management to ensure data integrity and validation within applicable platforms and within the timeframe required.
  • Projects and maintain a professional image in the marketplace.

General Responsibilities: 

  • Demonstrates compliance with banking business laws and regulations as defined in company policies and procedures pertinent to the position.
  • Completes special projects as directed, and assumes additional responsibilities as requested.
  • Regular in-office attendance is an essential element of this position.

Managerial/Leadership Responsibilities                                                             

Under the direction of the Commercial & Analytics Project Manager, works independently to produce deliverables and assists in providing insight and support to larger team.  Collaborates on strategy related to systems deployment and enhancement.  Trains and mentors team member(s) and customers when needed, to utilize systems and platforms to full function. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

Minimum Associates' degree or the equivalent relevant work experience is required.   Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft suite is required, with particular focus on advanced Excel functionality.  Must be technically sophisticated, analytical, and familiar with various reporting & dashboard tools and systems.  Attention to detail and organization are critical to this role.  Prior experience in reviewing/validating data, systems testing & deployments, , and the troubleshooting/triaging of staff and customer issues of a technical nature is strongly preferred.

Fiserv DNA (banking core) a plus.  Banker Hill Next Gen (Commercial loan origination system) a plus.  Reporting tools (Power BI, Crystal, or other Business Intelligence applications).  Microsoft Excel and Word intermediate experience.
