Value Based Payment Info Consult I/II/III - 013021 (Finance)

Summary

Acts as a consultant to physician and hospital financial and clinical leadership in areas of utilization and cost management, quality improvement, and overall financial position of value-based payment arrangements. The Value Based Payment Information Consultant provides direct support for information needs using a variety of analytic tools and applications, and also partners with other teams to deliver production solutions and advanced analytics. The incumbent collaborates with a multidisciplinary team (e.g., financial, clinical, and account management) to recommend actionable items leading to financial performance of value-based payment arrangements and quality improvements for the provider system. This position examines system and provider level trends and opportunities and prepares and presents this information to enable both senior management and our external customers to better understand, evaluate, and decide potential actions and probable impact. Due to the nature of this role, incumbents must be vaccinated for Covid-19.

Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

All Levels:

Level I:

  • Serves as primary provider/ACQA contact for analytic and consulting needs and builds positive partnership relationships
  • Uses multiple direct support tools, production solutions, and internal analytic resources to meet client information needs
  • Creates standard and custom reports and delivers presentations to internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborates with internal partners to identify information-based insights and opportunities
  • Provides training and education about reporting and analytic applications and tools to users, executives, and other stakeholders
  • Regularly reviews industry trends and best practices related to healthcare analytics, provider health systems, cost management, and quality improvement opportunities
  • Consistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission and values and adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct
  • Maintains high regard for member privacy in accordance with the corporate privacy policies and procedures
  • Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required
  • Performs other functions as assigned by management

Level II (in addition to Level I essential responsibilities/accountabilities):

  • Aids in developing less senior team members
  • Identifies and aids in development of future analytical solutions
  • Identifies and aids in implementation of team process improvements

Level III (in addition to Level II essential responsibilities/accountabilities):

  • Acts as a mentor to less senior team members
  • Identifies and leads the development of future analytic solutions
  • Identifies and leads the implementation of team process improvements

 

Minimum Qualifications:

NOTE:

All Levels:

Level I:

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 3 years experience in information analysis required, Masters' degree or professional designation preferred
  • Health care experience required; experience with provider/hospital systems preferred
  • Knowledge of technology and technical tools preferred – e.g., expertise in Microsoft Excel; proficiency in Cognos, SAS, R, or other reporting and analytic applications; knowledge of data warehouses and visual analytics
  • Excellent communication skills, including written communication, presentation design, and presentation delivery
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact with internal and external customers and with all levels of management
  • Must be able to work well independently and as part of a team

Level II (in addition to Level I minimum qualifications):

  • Masters' degree or professional designation preferred with expected minimum of 5 years experience in health care information and analysis
  • Strong knowledge of applicable technology and technical tools
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare analytics, provider health systems, cost management, and quality improvement opportunities

Level III (in addition to Level II minimum qualifications):

  • Masters' degree or professional designation required with expected minimum of 7 years experience in health care information and analysis
  • Ability to mentor others in applicable technology and technical tools
  • Subject matter expert in healthcare analytics, provider health systems, cost management, and quality improvement opportunities
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel across regions as needed.
