Syrup Cook Batcher (Government)

The syrup cook batcher is responsible for daily Kitchen batching and process work in S2 and S3 kitchens including paperwork and quality checks to supply product to all packaging, and bottling lines. Position will require employee to be trained in all Kitchen process. (Syrup and Dressing)
Essential Duties:
- Batching of Salad dressings and Syrups.
- Quality Assurance Paperwork including batch sheets, HACCP, and quality checks.
- Batch Posting with Inventory and Lot Number Control
- Cooler and Freezer Inventory/House keeping
- Cane syrup transfer from 6000 tank to 4800 gallon tank
- Bulk tank readings
- Support Sustainability efforts of Plant.
- End of shift cleanup of tools and equipment
- Promote and maintain a clean and safe working environment for all employees
Skills and Abilities:
- Must work safely and follow all safety rules
- Must follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Close communications with Production on batching timing.
- Ability to calculate product requirements for Production needs
- Read and write English for the purpose of quality assurance, and food safety.
- Demonstrate ability to work safely and meet quality standards at production speeds.
- Demonstrate ability to follow direction as described in Batch sheets
- Ability to read meters, and bulk tanks accurately
- Ability to keep accurate daily records
- Demonstrate the ability to work well with others.
- Must be familiar with PMS grades and origins and able to judge the difference in grades of syrup
- Must check color and brix when running syrup while doing proper testing on a daily schedule
- Ability to perform physical work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force on a frequent basis and up to 50 pounds of force on an occasional basis, performing such activities as hand dexterity, grasping, lifting, reaching, crouching, and repetitive tasks
- Ability to remain in a standing position for long periods of time
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Follow Lock Out/Tag Out procedures
- Handle materials safely using available equipment (carts, and lifts)
