Parking Enforcement Specialist (Finance)



Parking and Transportation Services, a division the University of South Florida's Administrative Services department is responsible for the overall management of the Bull Runner Transit System and parking facilities and services. We are committed to providing guidance and assistance to the USF community and our guests with all their parking and transportation needs in a professional and courteous manner.

Parking Enforcement Specialists are responsible for patrolling campus parking lots and garages to ensure compliance with university parking rules and regulations providing safe and accessible parking to students, faculty/staff, volunteers, and visitors. This position serves as a university ambassador, enhancing the customer's parking and campus experience by providing excellent customer service to the USF community.

Annual Rate: $32,530MINIMUM:
This position requires a high school diploma and one year of directly related experience in customer service, security, or traffic control. A valid Florida Driver's License may be required to operate a motorized vehicle such as a golf cart.

PREFERRED:
Preferred candidates will have an Associates' Degree and three years of related experience in customer service, parking enforcement, and/or code enforcement. Parking Enforcement Specialist Training Certification.

FLSB1310 Equivalency:
4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.
6 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for master's degree.

This position may be subject to a Level 1 or Level 2 criminal background check.

  • Patrols and resolves parking or traffic concerns within all surface parking lots and parking structures on the Tampa campus enforcing the University's parking rules and regulations by issuing citations for non-compliance.

  • Practices positive public relations with students, faculty/staff, volunteers, and visitors by answering questions and providing general information about the campus and surrounding area.

  • Assists in the collection of parking field data for annual lot inventories and utilization surveys.
  • \n
  • Provides vehicle assistance such as battery jump starts. Performs traffic control duties by directing traffic flow within established and overflow parking lots and on roads and streets during emergency situations and special events.

  • Assists with installing and retrieving appropriate barricades.
  • \n
  • Performs other duties assigned.
