If you are a Manufacturing & Operations professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Sidney, Ohio location, you will be responsible for the daily operation of a business unit by managing the workforce to maintain safety, quality, attainment, and costs. The candidate will also oversee and operate CNC equiptment and learn the machining processes within the business unit.
AS A CNC TEAM LEADER, YOU WILL:
Lead/Supervise team members in a Business Unit
Assign daily tasks
Maintain timekeeping and overtime as needed for employee absences
Communicate clearly in one on one and start-up meetings
Manage personnel issues within the workforce
Make sure area metrics are being met daily; safety, quality, attainment, and costs
Manage and maintain the 5S program
Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and HR to support the operation
Help facilitate projects within the area from leading the project or assisting as a team member
Start-up and operation of CNC equipment, automation equipment and gaging equipment
WHO YOU ARE:
You build an effective team to meet and set goals, direct the work of team members, ensure accountability of all team members, collaborate with your support teams and use technical skills to meet department metrics and customer needs.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Two (2) year associate degree plus one (1) year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior supervisory or leadership experience including direction, engagement and coaching
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Kronos, and Storeroom Management Systems
Knowledge of basic machining practices
Basic understanding of gaging practices
Strong analytical, technical and managerial skills
Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with peers, managers, and hourly workforce
Ability to flex work schedule based on needs of operation

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Four (4) year bachelor's degree.
One to three (1-3) years or more of experience in manufacturing with similar responsibilities
CNC machining and Automation experience in production environment

About our Location
The newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for the air conditioning and cold chain businesses. Through our 30 years of scroll compressor expertise, our air conditioning related products help bring comfort and convenience in commercial, industrial and residential spaces. The cold chain business helps ensure that food safely and efficiently travels from farm to fork. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions.
