Assistant to Development Manager, Real Estate - Lakeland (Real Estate)



  • providing administrative, analytical, and clerical support/assistance to the Real Estate Development Manager

  • providing contract support and administration for the Development Manager and as needed for the Due Diligence Specialist

  • responsible for abstracting contracts, development agreements, leases and other legal documents associated with current, pending, and future developments

  • creating, maintaining, and updating multiple reports and conducting the appropriate research and follow up to ensure accuracy

  • tracking, coordinating, and processing for payment the Draw-Pay requests from all Fee Developers

  • serving as the liaison between the Development Manager, Fee Developer, Attorneys, and others working on current, pending, and future projects

  • preparing wire payments and invoices associated with current, pending, and future projects for the Development Manager's approval

  • performing secretarial duties including answering multiple phone lines, typing, filing, creating letters, making meeting and/or travel arrangements as needed

  • other duties as assigned

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • experience performing secretarial and/or clerical duties

  • ability to read, understand, and interpret legal documents

  • strong analytical and organizational skills

  • detail oriented

  • strong computer skills, including Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and research via the Internet

  • ability to continuously re-prioritize job duties

  • ability to make sound decisions and work independently with little to no supervision

  • ability to solve problems/issues and plan using forward thinking to ensure projects are not conflicting

  • ability to accurately, effectively, and independently handle extremely high volumes of detailed tasks, assignments and confidential information with discretion and within deadline constraints

  • good human relations skills (the ability to work well with others and be a team member)

  • show enthusiasm, initiative and pride in work

  • commitment to Publix and our Mission

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree

  • one year of office/business experience

  • paralegal and/or contract management experience
