Job Description:

   

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Specialist to join our Cloud Module infrastructure team, responsible for configuring, integrating, and automating network switches for private cloud Solutions. This role requires deep expertise in Layer 2/3 networking, data center traffic design, and automation, with a focus on enabling scalable east-west and north-south traffic flows between racks and customer infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure  L2/L3 switches across multiple racks with high-availability for private cloud solutions

  • Design and implement VLANs, port channels, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) for efficient east-west and north-south traffic flow.

  • Develop procedures to Integrate switch infrastructure with customer's existing data center environment.

  • Automate switch provisioning and configuration using tools like Ansible and Python.

  • Implement overlay/underlay network models (e.g., VXLAN/EVPN).

  • Ensure robust network segmentation, security policies, and performance optimization.

  • Collaborate with systems, cloud, and security teams to deliver reliable private cloud connectivity.

  • Maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams (e.g., using NetBox or Visio).

  • Participate in network monitoring, troubleshooting, and customer support as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with switch configuration for Private Cloud environments.

  • Strong knowledge of Aruba/Juniper/Cisco or Arista, networking platforms.

  • Proficiency in:

    • VLANs, STP, LACP, vPC/MLAG

    • OSPF, BGP

    • Network segmentation and ACLs

    • VXLAN, EVPN

  • Experience with Ansible, Python scripting, and Infrastructure-as-Code principles.

  • Understanding of data center traffic patterns and high-availability architectures.

  • Hands on experience with network automation via REST APIs and templated configuration.

  • Strong documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with private cloud platforms (OpenStack, VMware NSX, or similar)

  • Knowledge of  data center fabric architectures

  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Git, and version-controlled network configuration

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, NetFlow)

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S.-based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. USD Annual Salary: $117,500.00 - $270,000.00
