What can I expect in this role?
In this position, you will work onsite for 40h a week.
Some key duties in this role include: (add duties from job description)
Develop and execute cell based and non-cell-based assay to evaluate virus systems and virus production in BSL-2 and BSL-3 Lab environments. Design and Perform assay qualification and validation activities for critical assay reagents. Perform and support Technology transfer of client assay development projects and clinical testing of samples using validated assays. Assist with R&D projects, general cell culture for production of viruses in tissue culture, maintenance of cell banks and reagent inventory maintenance. Operate liquid handling robotics and other high throughput equipment as needed. Assist project leads with data preparation and analysis for final project report. Lead development and revision of SOP and QC testing forms. Maintain notebook/electronic records in compliance with GDP procedures always and occasionally GCLP procedures as needed. Provide written reports for assay qualification, validation activities and project report for clients or regulatory agencies. Communicate project updates and data analysis results weekly to team and other stakeholders. Maintain a clean and organized work environment and observe all the company policies, rules, and safety practices. Use of web-based applications and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and GraphPad PRISM for data analysis and presentation.

Here is what we are looking for:
Education/Experience
Four-year degree: Biology, Microbiology, Virology, or related degree required.Hands on experience with human viruses and tissue culture methods, cell-based and non-cell based quantitative assays.
Competent in proper pipetting techniques and experience in serial dilution preparation, and calculation of dilution factors and final dilutions for test samples.
Knowledge of basic cell biology, molecular biology, and virology techniques Proficient with aseptic technique and basic laboratory facilities and equipment workflow in BSL-2 and BSL-3 environments.Experience with assay development for clinical testing (pre- clinical, Ph 1/2 or Ph 3) in a GMP/GLP environment is preferred.Practical experience with Good Documentation Practices (SOPs, QC forms, etc.) and electronic notebook (LIMS) preferred.Good organization, time-management, critical thinking, record-keeping, interpersonal and communication skills.A self-motivated individual who is detail-oriented and can function both independently as well as part of a team is required. Must be able to work and contribute to a highly collaborative environment on multiple projects concurrently.
