The Behavioral Health Skills Counselor is expected to provide in-home, family-centered services including counseling, skill development, and crisis intervention in order to build or restore client linkages with the community, schools, and family, with the goal of alleviating and/or eliminating identified client problems. The Counselor will engage in services and activities designed to provide identification of, and intervention to support families and prevent or alleviate the consequences of family dysfunction. A team approach is emphasized with close coordination with other family/client supports and service providers, including schools.
