About the Position:
Crescent Bank seeks an entrepreneurial individual with a knack for solving problems who wants to make an impact and a difference as a Data Scientist.
The person in this role will be expected to identify and implement potential solutions that will improve customer satisfaction and/or the profitability of the company. To do so, a Data Scientist will often develop a hypothesis based on their business knowledge and leverage analytical frameworks to evaluate their hypothesis. After analyzing the data, a Data Scientist will make their recommendations and present them, often to senior leadership within the Bank. Monitoring business performance is another key function of the role to insure that recommendations are implemented appropriate or to identify areas for improvement. The work may include the use of machine learning-type models and implementation of them. Any particular skills that an individual may lack, prior to working at the Bank, can be acquired in the role for anyone who desires to grow and learn. This growth mentality, along with a result orientation, good communication skills and analytical thinking, are keys to success.
What we are looking for:
To find success in this role, a candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, success academically and work experience. Knowledge of machine learning and other modeling techniques and as well as SQL, Python and R coding languages is valuable. Preferred qualifications include an MBA or MS in a quantitative field, experience using machine learning and other modeling techniques and experience working in analytical endeavors.
