Controls System Lead (Manufacturing)
Job Title: Control Systems Lead
Shift: 2nd Shift (2:30pm - 11:00pm)
Pay: $41.10 + $1 differential
What you will do
Under minimal supervision, responsible for the continuous improvement of plant processes and equipment including design and PLC program changes, mechanical and electrical documentation, Six Sigma variation reduction, uptime improvements, and maintenance expense reduction.
How you will do it
Lead troubleshooting, maintenance, and modification of Control Systems in battery manufacturing production equipment in order to meet goals of operations.
Control systems include but are not limited to, Allen Bradley PLCs/HMIs, Ethernet/Serial networks, Variable Frequency Drives, Servos, Fanuc and Denso Robotics, SCADA systems, and Industrial PCs.
Troubleshoot electrical subsystems (480VAC/120VAC/24V/12V), motors/motor starters, contactors, breakers, fuses, disconnects, and wiring
Serve as first line of escalation from maintenance mechanics on the shift for all issues (Controls, Electrical, and Mechanical) that have not been resolved after 1.5 hours of troubleshooting. Further escalate issues to vendors/contractors, Controls Engineers, maintenance/engineering management, Facilities management and other subject matter experts as needed until issues are resolved.
Work with Controls engineering staff on identification, design, and implementation of process improvement and capital projects
Be proficient in the Maximo CMMS system, ability to locate parts and navigate work order system
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities
What we look for
Required
Will work 2nd shift schedule to include Saturday. Sunday Mondays off, with overtime as required by production requirements.
Associates degree or 2+ years professional experience with electrical or control systems support in an industrial setting
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related field
1+ years of experience troubleshooting PLCs/HMIs (Allen Bradley)
1+ years of experience configuring/replacing VFDs
1+ years of experience troubleshooting Fanuc/Denso robotics
1+ years of experience troubleshooting servo based motion controls

Tampa, Florida is home to a fully integrated plant that manufacturers batteries used in cars, boats, motorcycles, and heavy-duty trucks. As a fully integrated plant, we also decorate or label our batteries into the final product for our customers. We opened in 1958 and employ more than 280 people. We operate six days per week.
