Associate Project Manager (Finance)
The Associate Project Manager is responsible for coordinating projects within the Facilities Construction and Maintenance departments at Augusta Health to ensure completion of all construction and renovation projects within budget and on schedule. The position assists Engineering and Construction Project Managers with capital projects and independently manages smaller capital projects in the hospital setting.
Responsible for working with department team to assist in project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and control, while providing technical direction in specialty areas. The Associate Project Manager responsibilities span a broad spectrum and the position interacts with several entities, both internal and external.
The position requires the flexibility to both provide project support and to lead projects as suits the Director of Construction. The position will also provide specialty and utility functions for the department, such as subject-matter expertise (e.g. lighting, furnishings, etc.) and special project support.
Education Requirements
Formal Education Bachelor's Degree required.
Education Desired Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction or related is preferred. Project Management coursework is preferred.
Experience Requirements
A minimum of three years of experience in construction projects is required. Prior project management experience and experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred.
License/Certification Requirements
Not Required. Preference for professional registration as Architect or Engineer, Class-A Contractor license, Project Management Professional and/or Certified Healthcare Constructor.
