Quality Control Technician (R&D)

We are seeking a Quality Control Technician for County Materials in Holmen, WI.

Job Duties:
Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of productsInspects materials, parts and products at different stages of productionRecords observations and may make recommendations for improving processesFamiliar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the concrete industryRegularly observes the production process including setup, casting, stripping and storage of product.Work with production to identify and resolve quality issues related to casting and concrete performance.Manage housekeeping to ensure a safe workplace.Other tasks as needed

Work Environment:
Work in indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperaturesWork near moving machinery and equipment - could include electrical hazardsWork in a noisy environment

Experience & Qualifications:
Understanding of a manufacturing environment.Concrete plant and/or quality control experience is highly desired.Ability to interpret shop drawings and job specifications.Proficient in Computer Skills with Microsoft Office.Solid math aptitude.Must have the ability to train and obtain technical certifications as directed and supported by the company.Ability to work independently.Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.1-2 years of prior experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience in the construction and/or building materials industry preferred, not required.
