Job Title: Robotic Welder Operator

Job Designation

Candidate will program, operate, maintain and correct current programs on a two workstation OTC Diahen robotic welder.  They will need to work from assembly drawings and written instructions as well as have the ability to inspect the quality of work against supplied documentation. Assist other team members as needed.  Interface with Engineering and Quality Assurance regarding assembly requirements, workmanship standards and customer product specifications.

Job Core Responsibilities

  • Operate and Program an OTC Diahen Robotic Welder
  • Correct current welding programs
  • Maintain and troubleshoot welder operations
  • Create fixtures that will assist in welding long term parts
  • Read drawings and specifications to determine component parts and assembly sequences
  • Understand written documentation and procedures or verbal instructions (English)
  • Proficient with basic hand tools and assembly practices
  • Proficient with welding symbols and welding practices
  • Ability to inspect their own work and maintain quality standards
  • Ability to work as part of a team or unsupervised
  • Provide information to supervisors or coworkers through written, verbal, or electronic means

 

 Other Responsibilities

  • Organize and assemble sub-assemblies for use on top level product
  • Assist the Laser operator in daily functions
  • Inspect materials to identify the cause of errors or defects

 Job Specifications

Must be able to work MON-THU 6AM-4:30PM

Must be able to work FRI-SUN when required (overtime hours TBD)

Must be able to stand for up to 2.5 hours at a time

The ability to lift up to 75 lbs with or without mechanical aid

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Certificate or operational experience with robotic welders is a must
