Manager Consumer Data Privacy (Finance)
Do you have experience in consumer data privacy and a passion for innovation? If so, then we want to speak with you! We are currently looking for a Manager, Consumer Data Privacy in our Digital & Marketing Services department in Richmond, VA. We are open to remote work arrangements for candidates willing to work Eastern Standard Time Zone hours.
What will you be doing:
• Running and executing the consumer data privacy programs and processes to support operating companies and enterprise goals.
• Handling daily consumer data privacy requests (e.g. CCPA) which will include providing direction to third-party contractor resources and completing quality assurance on consumer communications and CCPA (or other state-required) reports.
• Establishing a roadmap to optimize the consumer privacy systems and processes which may include automation and use of privacy technologies.
• Developing and implementing processes to ensure preparation for and compliance with applicable privacy regulations and standard methodologies.
• Working closely with legal to determine legal and compliance requirements, then working with IT and other partners to develop implementation plans for technical and operational solutions.
• Leading the identification, implementation, and maintenance of marketing privacy procedures and processes in coordination with legal and other key departments across the organization.
• Providing consultation on the privacy considerations for consumer experience and brand initiatives to determine privacy impact and align with privacy practices.
• Leading and supporting the rollout of consumer data privacy training for internal and external partners.
• Championing consumer data privacy standard methodologies across the enterprise.
We want you to have:
• Bachelor's Degree in a business or technical subject area, or other relevant field. An advanced degree is highly desirable.
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience in a highly regulated industry (financial services, pharmaceutical, etc.). Specific privacy, risk management, and / or data governance experience is required.
• Experience designing and managing processes and workflows.
• Experience leading projects and project teams.
• Strong preference for relevant certification(s) such as Certified Information Privacy Manager or Certified Information Privacy Technologist.
• Understanding of US and global consumer privacy landscape and impacts to organizational infrastructure, practices, and customer experience.
• Understanding of the MarTech and AdTech ecosystems and the associated privacy considerations.
• Strong analytic and critical thinking skills.
• Creative approach and a curious mentality.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and with senior levels of the organization.
• Ability to lead and encourage others with engaging written, oral and presentation skills.
