Position Summary:

This position provides oversight for clinical site coordination providing strategic leadership and communication necessary to coordinate student education; works collaboratively with directors of majors and Team Coordinators; works collaboratively with clinical and community agencies as well as individual preceptors to optimize student learning and foster positive relationships with clinical partners; collaborates with other individuals as needed to ensure necessary resources and agreements are in place; works to promote/maintain a positive image for the college in the greater Tampa Bay region.Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a Master's degree in education or a field of study related to the academic program, or a Bachelor's degree in those same fields with a minimum of two years of experience.

SB 1310: Substitution of Work Experience for Postsecondary Education Requirements

A public employer may include a postsecondary degree as a baseline requirement only as an alternative to the number of years of direct experience required, not to exceed:

  • (a) Two years of direct experience for an associate degree;
  • (b) Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
  • (c) Six years of direct experience for a master's degree;
  • (d) Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree; or
  • (e) Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree

Related work experience may not substitute for any required licensure, certification, or registration required for the position of employment as established by the public employer and indicated in the advertised description of the position of employment.

Minimum Qualifications that require a high school diploma are exempt from SB 1310.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience working in an academic (college or university) health setting and using Learning Management Systems such as Canvas.Working at USF

Responsible for BSN program clinical placements. Collaborates with clinical partners to place and onboard undergraduate students for their several clinical rotations, completing onboarding requirements for each student for each semester, based on where each student has been placed. Promotes positive relationships with clinical agency representatives to maximize the utilization of clinical resources. Operates in accordance with established USF Policies and procedures to obtain and maintain the required documentation; initiates affiliation agreements between the college and clinical practice sites; assists with submitting each student's compliance information and onboarding requirements to each clinical site each semester.

20% Coordination

Coordinates the undergraduate clinical placement process by collaborating with faculty about which students are expected in which course/level each semester. Assigns individual students to available clinical opportunities based on their course/level and location. Maintains Canvas course for undergraduate clinical onboarding, providing vital information to the students about the onboarding requirements and process for each site. Adds evaluation survey links into each course each semester.

5% Problem Solving

Triages and problem solves clinical site and access issues as they come up, fields questions and requests and refers them to appropriate contact.

5% Miscellaneous

Completes office and administrative tasks, such as identifying and disseminating information to faculty and staff, coping, filing, etc. Apply
