Lead Trainer - 3rd Shift (Finance)



As a Lead Trainer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the skills and knowledge of others. You are expected to be a role model. You must lead by example with your performance, attendance, attitude, and behavior. You should model the behaviors and attitudes that you expect from your trainees, and you should set a high standard for professionalism and excellence. You should strive to create a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters the growth and development of your trainees. As a mentor for all employees, your role will be to provide support for their training, cultivate their skills and knowledge, motivate and energize them to learn more, and promote efficiency and friendly competition with the aim of improving safety and production.

Responsibilities -

  • Provide floor training to all new hires. Check in with them daily to ensure success.
  • Provide support and motivation to your trainees, in order to promote safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Provide detailed notes about training process of all new hires.
  • Use Training Checklists and Weekly Evaluations with purpose.
  • Provide training, direction, coaching, and mentorship to all team members on the warehouse floor.
  • Evaluate the performance, skills, and competencies of team members, at varying levels of expertise.
  • Observe for and recommend safety practices, to all team members, on the warehouse floor.
  • Understand the purpose of JobTrak and Easy Metrics.
  • Follow any direction given by the Training Supervisor or the Training Coordinator.
  • Always remember: your three highest priorities in order are Safety, Quality, and Productivity.

Safety Responsibilities -
  • You must role model working safely and avoid any safety violations.
  • Observe safety practices and coach for improvement.
  • Assist in coordinating safety activities.
  • Ensure fire extinguisher checks are completed.
  • Participate in Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) process.
  • Hoist Lead Trainer - responsible for equipment recertification.
  • Lead EHS Team meetings and follow up on any action items.
  • Ensure EHS team members are completing safety walks.

Communication & Teamwork -
  • As a trainer, you must convey complex information clearly to ensure your trainees understand and can apply the concepts to their work.
  • Remain professional and respectful, when giving and receiving constructive feedback.
  • We value your insights as a team member and encourage you to share your thoughts on improving our training program.
  • Collaborate with your team to achieve shared goals, while fostering mutual respect.

Location -
  • Shift: Sunday-Thursday, 11:00pm-7:00am
  • Pay: $20.00/hr, plus $2.50 shift differential for 3rd Shift
  • 700 Airtech Parkway, Plainfield, IN
