Machine Operator - Night Shift (Marketing)

Certified in one job skill within production environment. Responsible for completing job assignments, planning and scheduling work, making production and/or service-related decisions, and taking action on problems. Jointly responsible for whole work processes, performing multiple tasks, and setting staffing plans and production goals for the current day with other team members. Provides information to other team members during shift overlap to improve overall plant performance.
Machine Operator will be responsible for operating the Checkfolio on the night shift.
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6:00 pm - 4:30 am. NO Weekends.
Duties include:
Operates the packaging system monitoring overall performance efficiency, and quality.
Sample and monitor product quality coming off the system, making modifications as needed.
Troubleshoot packaging systems performance and quality problems.
Correct problems and stabilize performance as it occurs.
Replenish materials ongoing as depleted.
Performs equipment start-up, shut-down, and preventative maintenance.
Maintains production, efficiency and quality records related to the packaging system operation.
Perform other duties as assigned.EXPERIENCE
• Entry level position, previous production experience a plus.
• Experience with operating a computer (mouse and keyboard)
• Relevant Experience with Harland Clarke processes and procedures preferred, but not required. Willingness to train with desire to increase knowledge of quality duties.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
• Must be flexible and have the ability to work overtime and cover other shifts, sometimes on short notice.
COMMUNICATION AND CONTACTS
Position is relatively independent. Interacts with others in work unit. No interaction with anyone outside of plant (except during tours). Communication is with other workers and plant leadership. Communication from position is primarily verbal. Written communication from position includes completing production sheets. Position includes participation in a team huddle meetings, which may include verbal and written communication.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS
• Duplicate Collating Imaging System (DCIS) Operator Physical Requirements: Able to stand for a 10-hour shift. Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and push cart. Able to tolerate vibration from jogger.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
