Director, Strategic Vendor Partnerships (Finance)



Kroll is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Strategic Vendor Partnerships to join our team. This role will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of key vendor relationships, ensuring that our vendors meet our company's standards and expectations. The Director of Strategic Vendor Partnerships will have significant interactions with key operational leaders in the organization as the managed service will impact key business service areas throughout the organization. This is a fully remote position.

The day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement vendor management processes and strategies to optimize vendor performance and drive cost savings
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions
  • Monitor vendor performance and conduct regular vendor evaluations to assess compliance with contractual obligations and business case value realization.
  • Maintain a central repository for storing key performance, contractual and financial documentation
  • Identify and mitigate vendor risks to protect the company from potential liabilities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align vendor management goals with the company's overall business objectives
  • Lead a team of vendor management professionals to support the company's vendor management initiatives
  • Completing work necessary for defining the charter and building a strategic partner management organization
  • Developing processes and organization capability to execute strategic provider relationships

Essential Traits:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience managing outsourcing engagements, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Multi-Tower Agreement Expertise: Proven track record overseeing multi-tower outsourcing agreements, with preferred proficiency across both business process and technology domains.
  • Builder Mindset: Demonstrated ability to establish and lead a first-generation outsourcing function, including building partnership frameworks and developing program structure while actively managing day-to-day operations.
  • Detail-Oriented and Strategic: Adept at managing complex details and synthesizing information into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership.
  • Pragmatic and Agile: Results-driven, pragmatic approach to execution, with a willingness to experiment with new tactics and adapt strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Value-Driven Partnership Focus: Oriented toward deliverables and realization of partnership value, rather than contract management alone. Capable of managing commercial aspects and driving additional expansion opportunities within the partnership.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Knows how organizations work; knows how to get things done through formal channels and the informal network
  • Knowledge of vendor management best practices and industry trends

The salary range for this position is $125,000 - 250,000 USD.
