Manager, Warehouse and Logistics (Transportation)
Manages employees who use a variety of equipment such as forklifts, conveyers, cranes, hand carts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products or goods within a plant or warehouse. Plans, schedules, and routes inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments of freight. Applies broad technical knowledge of all phases of transportation industry to analyze company asset movement to ensure compliance with state, federal and international laws, rules and company policy. Responsible for cycle counting process, inventory accuracy, and management of materials and inventory that will include government parts in the warehouse.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university; and at least 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Purchasing and supply management profession certifications such as: Institute of Supply Management's CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager), CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), CSM (Certified in Supply Management) preferred.
