Mergers & Acquisitions - Diligence and Accounting Manager

The HPE M&A Diligence and Accounting Manager will assist with due diligence on HPE's potential acquisitions, purchase accounting for acquisitions, and lead the financial close and accounting integration in coordination with HPE's acquired companies' finance team. The role will report to the Senior Director – M&A Diligence, Accounting and Integration. This role will partner with corporate development, business unit finance teams, corporate financial planning and analysis (FP&A), tax and outside advisors as necessary to provide support on transactions and accounting issues. This role will prepare reports for the Executive Leadership team committee on accounting findings as part of due diligence on potential acquisitions. The Manager will drive adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the organization's financial goals and policies in leading the Company's purchase accounting efforts and post-close accounting activities for acquired companies. The Manager will act as a Controller for these acquired entities until they are merged into HPE's standard financial reporting systems, processes and entities. The Manage will ensure strong business controls.
Location required: Work from Home with access to office when needed. Houston, TX or San Jose, CA
Responsibilities
Success in this area depends upon a unique combination of a strong knowledge of US GAAP requirements and analytical abilities to assist in identifying potential purchase price adjustments and synergy opportunities, strong communication skills (both written and verbal), and an eagerness to understand HPE's business operations. The role requires engagement with our Corporate Development, Legal, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Unit Finance Teams, Country Controllers, our outside advisors, including our auditor, Ernst & Young and other partners in the business and Corporate functions. This role presents an excellent opportunity for obtaining a broad overview of HPE and extending your USGAAP knowledge and analytical capabilities in multiple areas.
