VAVE Materials Specialist (Project Management)
Position Description:

We are currently seeking a Materials Specialist that will be based out of our Warrendale, PA office.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITES:
• Leads Materials aspects of Value Added Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives
• Represents Materials team on New Product Introduction (NPI) projects
• Reports NPI and VAVE status regularly to Operations leadership
• Works with Commodity Specialists to develop pricing and stocking contracts with suppliers
• Meets goals for VAVE savings and quality improvements
• Manages first article process for new parts resulting from VAVE activity
• Works with Engineering teams on End-Of-Life (EOL) issues: identification and resolution of issues
• Assists Purchasing team on EOL, VAVE and NPI as required
• Positive Attitude, Clear Communication Skills and Demonstrated Ability to work well with others
• Ability to think strategically while remaining focused on details
• Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
• MRP Experience
• Experience working with cross-functional project teams
• Highly motivated
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to think independently, solve difficult problems, and achieve goals
Position Requirements:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3 years of experience purchasing in a manufacturing environment
