eCommerce Marketplace Channel Manager (Finance)
As the first employee and leader of this new marketplace, the marketplace channel manager will be responsible for bringing the marketplace to life. This means working to closely project manage the many business deliverables required to launch the marketplace including ensuring marketplace place features are properly landing, establishing the right business logic for sellers and buyers, and ensuring the marketplace flows into the existing business processes within Online Metals.
Once the marketplace is launched the manager will then become responsible for growing the business. This growth includes onboarding new sellers, providing the guidance for them to be successful, and scaling up the team to continue developing these sellers.
This position reports directly to the president of Online Metals and will be a member of the leadership team. The career path for this role is senior management and it is a highly visible role within the organization that will be provided with high levels of support to ensure its success.
The role is based out of Seattle, Washington or Southfield, MI (tkMNA HQ) - Metro Detroit and is not a remote position.
Key Accountabilities:
• Develop and execute short- and long-term marketplace roadmap, including performance goals, covering online marketing, seller performance, and growth of sellers.
• Own the P&L for the OnlineMetals marketplace and participate in budgeting and forecasting exercises.
• Interact with internal company teams, such as IT, finance, product development, customer service to ensure project and business success
• Maintain strong relationship with marketplace platform and service providers - ensuring alignment with each other's product roadmaps
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
• Analytical, organizational, decision-making, problem-solving and written and verbal communication skills required
• Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction, including an appreciation for customer experience is required
• Demonstrated ability to work unattended and as a member of a team
• Demonstrated ability to manage, grown and cultivate teams under your direction
• Demonstrated attention to detail, combined with the ability to not get lost in the details
• Business development and/or sales experience is required
• Bachelor's degree required
• 3-5+ years of previous online retailing experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
• Graduate degree in a related field preferred
• Metals or other raw materials experience a plus
