Technology Instructor - Senior Center (Finance)
Minimum age of 18 years
High School diploma or equivalent
1 year experience teaching technology
Excellent teaching skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Must have patience and ability to work with older adult students of all levels
Must have creativity and imagination
TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create and implement a curriculum to teach at least one day a week.
Supervise and participate with participants during all large and small group activities.
Provide a welcoming and encouraging environment for our participants to explore different types of technology
Encourage progress at each participant's own rate
Lead participants through classes
Provide direction with encouraging feedback
Effectively engage with participants in large and small groups settings.
Show up for scheduled classes on time and be prepared to teach.
Primary Responder for all accidents and incidents.
Complete routine and required forms to include, but not limited to: attendance records, observation records, and incident and injury reports.
Effectively communicate with students and staff for class schedules, make up classes, etc.
Possess a working knowledge of safety and emergency procedures and be able to exercise sound judgment.
Support and follow YMCA policies and decisions
Keep an accurate class roster, ensuring that participants are properly enrolled and have paid fees by working with Membership Experience Director
Assist in marketing the program to potential participants
