Director of Operations (Security)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Possesses full-delegated authority to serve as Acting Chief Executive Officer in the absence of the Chief Executive Officer.Provides daily oversight to all Division Directors and Operations PDA II. Provides strategic direction to Division Directors to meet budget expectations and programmatic goals. Serves as liaison with Planning Director to ensure timely and accurate submittal of new and renewing RFP's.Develops strategic partnerships with community groups, partners, public, clients or stakeholders.Provides leadership in the development, implementation, and coordination of the corporate strategic plan.Coordinates and participates in work groups involved in program development. This includes reviewing and editing proposals before submitted to funding source.Conducts program development research and develops new program opportunities.Serves as a mentor and coach to guide senior staff.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises employees. Carriers out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree in a related field; or six years of directly related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Moderate computer skills required for data entry, Word, Excel, and other software programs, as required for the position.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Access to transportation, California drivers license, and minimum auto insurance as required by law. Must maintain good driving record.
