Talent Acquisition Manager (Finance)
Job Summary
The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for finding, recruiting, hiring - and retaining - talented candidates. This role oversees planning, developing, and implementing an effective Talent Acquisition strategy for Santa Cruz Seaside company. This includes building and promoting a strong Employer Brand. ?
It is the primary responsibility of the Talent Acquisition Manager to lead a functional team across the enterprise in alignment the mission of Santa Cruz Seaside Company. This leader will collaborate with senior leaders to develop and execute on the recruitment strategy for all locations, including Carousel Beach Inn, Sea and Sand Inn, Boardwalk Bowl, the Boardwalk and properties. The incumbent will interact with leadership at all levels to ensure both that there is a clear understanding of their unique needs and that actions are in place to ensure that these needs are met.
Unique Job Requirements
The incumbent will be a team oriented manager with the ability to build rapport with applicants, managers, and community related organizations. This role is responsible for developing recruitment strategies to attract and hire over 1,500 seasonal workers annually, as well as, professional and technical full time staff. Must have strong analytical and organizational skills. Able to work flexible hours and to travel. Weekend and evening work required. Must present a positive, professional approach and conform to confidentiality standards.
Job Tasks
Plan, organize and manage the recruiting process which includes recruiting and selecting a large number of seasonal staff plus recruiting and interviewing for FTR positions, technical and professional staff in coordination with Hiring Manager.
Hire, train, supervise, develop, motivate and evaluate staff.
Ensure that recruiting systems and procedures are simple, understandable and effective.
Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures and compliance with state, federal, and local laws and regulations affecting Employment.
Oversee Talent Acquisition Specialists to develop and improve community relations
Oversee the J1 Visa Work & Travel program and other talent pipelines through Talent Acquisition Specialists.
Manage the selection and pre-placement processes including drug testing, medical, skills, psychological, criminal and credit evaluation and or tests.
Evaluate trends and make recommendation to improve attracting and retaining employees.
Work with Marketing department to develop recruiting collateral.
Conduct in-company training seminars on recruiting topics as needed.
Drive implementation of a result-oriented comprehensive leadership talent acquisition plan consistent with the strategic mission of SCSC Human Resources and Talent Acquisition to support all levels of the organization.
Build relationships with leadership to be recognized as a strategic business partner and gain insights on operations with clear understanding of the needs and priorities of all departments.
Lead operational processes within Talent Acquisition to ensure a seamless flow, quality customer service, legal compliance, and staff adherence to established policies and procedures.
Personally manage and provide full-cycle recruitment support to requisition load and support leadership recruitment when needed
Lead Talent Acquisition projects and initiatives; engage in self-directed work, create and maintain timetables for projects, manage deadlines and resources, and work with a wide degree of creativity and latitude with minimal supervision.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless process that meets the expectations of the department heads at all levels.

Qualifications: Training and Experience
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, and 7 years recruitment experience or related Human Resources experience with at least 2 years as a supervisor or manager. Certification as a PHR or SPHR desirable.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of human resources laws
Knowledge of job posting sites and social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, Tiktok, etc.
Ability to manage multiple completing priorities
Knowledge of various interviewing methods
Make recommendations on how to effectively identify hiring needs
Create a sustainable talent acquisition strategy
Design, plan and execute employer branding activities
Perform analysis of hiring needs and provide employee hiring forecast?
Use systems and tools such as an?HRIS
Plan procedures for improving the candidate experience
Attend career and job fairs
Knowledge of all applicable federal, state and local employment laws and statutes.
Ability to supervise, train, motivate, evaluate and delegate work to staff.
Ability to track employment data, evaluate, make recommendations for improvement.
Ability to develop and implement department policies, procedures and systems.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to build strong working relationships with all levels of Seaside Company employees, outside agencies and schools.
Ability to champion teamwork, support vision, values and culture of organization.
Ability to define problems, collect, analyze and interpret data and develop alternative solutions to complex problems.

Licenses / Insurance
Possess and maintain a valid California U.S. Driver's License at the time of hire. Required to maintain automobile liability coverage with a minimum of $15,000.00 bodily injury one person/$30,000.00 bodily injury total accident/$5,000.00 property damage coverage per California's minimum liability insurance requirements. (Required if the employee will at anytime use own vehicle to perform company business functions)
