Water and Wastewater Project Engineer (Finance)

Who we are looking for:
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Lakeland, FL office who can work independently or as part of a team on drinking water system planning, design and construction projects for our municipal clients. The successful candidate will be a motivated, growth oriented professional with an ability to lead multi-disciplined project teams from planning through conceptual and final design, construction phases and operations of facilities. You will have staff to mentor and clients to support. Not only will you have engineers to support you, but our integrated operations and SCADA teams will help you deliver the highest quality products. You will also be an active participant in our delivery system improvement programs.
What you need to succeed:
The ideal candidate for this position will function well in a team environment, working closely with other engineers, designers and Project Managers to take a project through permitting, design and construction. Ideally, you will be familiar with engineering concepts associated with municipal drinking water systems and engineering concepts associated with wastewater treatment, solids removal and handling, nutrient removal technologies, extended aeration facilities, membrane treatment equipment, and process piping. Specific areas of experience may include hydraulic modeling, water treatment processes and distribution system infrastructure, and have experience preparing plans and specifications. Experience and knowledge with state and EPA regulations regarding water treatment and distribution systems is preferred. Knowledgeable in state bidding laws and the SRF program preferred. Strong writing and communications skills are also required as assignments will include report writing, environmental studies and presentations.
