Job Summary:
Manager, Direct Ingredients Procurement will join a team of category leaders who create and implement sourcing strategies for key raw material categories across the procurement function. You will need to engage and influence key stakeholders within broader supply chain organization, and collaborate with internal business partners and suppliers to reduce risks and costs to our operational plants, while leading the sourcing, testing, and implementation of packaging designs as part of the overall product development process.
Additionally, this role will drive results through methods that include competitive bidding, negotiating, and analyzing data/market trends for packaging categories. This opportunity will promote long-term thinking while driving multiple initiatives across procurement.

Core Accountabilities:
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
•Analyzing spend data and conduct market research to build category procurement strategy.
•Build internal stakeholder alignment and deliver YOY sustainable cost savings to drive business growth
•Rationalize ingredients supplier base for cost efficiency, lead-time, quality, regionalization, standardization, supply assurance, and compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal requirements.
•Establish standards and guidelines for supplier evaluation. Evaluate and recommend Ingredients suppliers/vendors; lead quarterly business reviews with strategic suppliers to drive continuous improvement
•Work closely with suppliers, Product Development, Operations, and Procurement on new product development and value engineering projects. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•Identify and implement cost saving initiatives related to Ingredients, labor, efficiency, transportation, and storage.
•Lead contracting process in collaboration with Legal department; ensure compliance post contract execution
•Monthly spend and PPV analysis on Risk management, contracting balances, and economic forecasts.
•Understand trends in customers' needs and concerns, across categories and regions, to influence customer and business priorities
•Create supplier scorecards to measure and track supplier performance
•Lead business reviews to discuss best practices and issues and to ultimately improve supplier performance and strengthen business partnerships
•Innovate within the procurement space, automating and/or improving tools or processes to better support the Procurement Lifecycle
About You:
•Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent combination of education and experience
•5 years' experience in a Procurement organization performing category/vendor management, contract management, negotiating complex purchases, and bidding
•Strong leader who can drive category strategies, develop pricing models, and has influence across all levels of an organization
•Demonstrated track record of managing multiple projects and driving them to completion to meet business objectives.
•Strong business judgement, instincts, and organizational skills
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
•Experience using procurement technology solutions including but not limited to spend analytics, contract lifecycle management, and eSourcing
•Highly proficient in MS Office and SAP
•Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to overcome obstacles and deliver results
•Thrives to work within fast paced culture and operate with significant autonomy.
