Purpose
~ Responsible for managing the ongoing analysis of industry sales and share performance via frequent reports, ad hoc analytics, and short-term forecasts. This role will be responsible for identifying and analyzing trends, and the impact of those trends to Hyundai's performance.
Major Responsibilities
~ Prepare and deliver industry results and insights to the organization through reports and platforms.
~ Lead the process of maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly industry reports.
~ Conduct targeted analyses to identity and make recommendations for potential short- and long-term organizational headwinds and/or opportunities.
~ Develop short-term industry forecasts that are utilized for strategic and resource planning.
~ Act as the organization's expert on industry, segment, and regional forecasting.
~ Manage all aspects of software (e.g., Forecast Pro) usage and maintenance.
~ Manage Hyundai's intramonthly sales performance analytics and predictive month-end sales outlook.
~ Coordinate cross-functional activities to accomplish common company goals.
~ Contribute to the development of department processes and systems.
~ Support Regional team members on reports and platforms to improve their analytical rigor at the region and market levels.
~ Manage direct report(s) to maximize output, while developing individual team member's professional growth.
Authority
~ Manage and develop other employees at all levels. Manage one or more functional area and/or several significant projects and processes.
Education
~ Bachelor's degree required.
~ Master's degree preferred.
Related Experience
~ Eight plus years of related work experience and/or advanced training.
~ Work experience with an automotive OEM in the Sales area preferred.
~ Two plus years of supervisory experience desired.
Skill/Knowledge
~ Advanced communication skills.
~ Coordinate and build relationships with a variety of partners/stakeholders.
~ Identify and solve complex problems, while making decisions under conditions of uncertainty.
~ Champion process improvements and contribute to establishing new standards.
~ Proficient with SAP, CAARs, PIN Explorer and MS Office.
~ Efficient leveraging data from various systems for analysis and reporting (e.g., Tableau and Alteryx).
~ Experience with Forecast Pro preferred.
~ Strong analytical rigor with statistical concepts and modeling familiarity.
