Premium Billing Specialist (Administrative)

Are you a billing specialist or business office professional looking for a new career opportunity in the OKC area? If you're passionate about teamwork and providing excellent customer service, let's talk!

CompSource Mutual Insurance Company has been a proud part of the Oklahoma community since 1933, providing workers' compensation insurance. We are consistently recognized as a "best" and "top" place to work in Oklahoma, and we're looking for a new Premium Billing Specialist to join our team.

What you'll do:

As a Premium Billing Specialist, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers. Your top responsibilities will be proactively answering incoming calls and taking payments over the phone. You'll also manage billing records, investigate discrepancies, and address emails within 24 hours. A key part of your role is processing refund requests and policy cancellations or reinstatements, all while providing a high level of courteous and professional service to both our policyholders and internal teams.

To be successful, you'll need to be a proactive problem-solver with strong attention to detail. We're looking for someone who is calm and patient, able to remain respectful under pressure, and has a strong customer service orientation. You'll also need solid analytical skills for working with reports and financial data. We're a tight-knit team, and a 'team-first' mentality is essential—we're all reliable, approachable, and willing to help each other out.

What we're offering:
This is a full-time position in Oklahoma City with a salary range of $21 - $23.50 per hour, depending on your experience and internal salary equity. Candidates who successfully complete Spanish certification receive an increase in pay. We offer a hybrid work schedule and a fantastic benefits package that includes:

  • Free employee insurance
  • Company match 401k
  • Generous paid time off
  • Professional development and tuition reimbursement
  • Free snacks and drinks
  • Voluntary benefits

Who we're looking for:

  • High School Diploma/GED with at least 2 years of business office or accounting experience.
  • Experience with insurance premium billing, reconciliation, or underwriting is a plus!
  • Proficiency with billing systems and office software like Excel and Outlook is necessary.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.

If you have a knack for data management, great communication skills, and a true focus on helping others, we're excited to hear from you.
