Job Summary

This role is a key, hands-on position responsible for the FP&A, Finance Business Support and costing function of the North American sites for CSI. This role covers our Manufacturing facilities in Trumbull (CT), Buffalo (NY) and dotted line leadership for our Stafford (TX) factory. The position reports to the Director of Global Manufacturing Finance and has 1 direct and 1 dotted line reports.

This person will lead the work across North America Manufacturing Operations, analyze manufacturing variances, value of production, other cost of goods, and developing presentations for senior management.  This is a highly visible role requiring sharp finance skills, business sense, business partnering and good communication skills.

You Will:

• Support the Site managers, Director of Global Manufacturing Finance and VP of Operations with insightful financial analysis to drive and improve site performance.
• Analyze variances to standards, identify root cause and support identification of remediation actions.
• Provide accurate, timely and appropriate Management accounts and identify risks and opportunities.
• Support monthly close process and functional management reviews to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Leads monthly reviews of financial performance for sites of ownership
• Manage and direct the annual budget process and quarterly forecast preparation, in accordance with CSI timelines for all North America Manufacturing sites.
• Support the development of accurate standard costs and timely roll out at the beginning of the fiscal year.
• Support the Global Long Range Strategic Financial Planning process for Manufacturing.
• Support key strategic initiative, delivering insightful information on a consistent and standardized basis to enhance management decision making.
• Lead special projects that support management decision-making, such as, capital expenditure, return on investment, inventory analysis, what if analysis etc.
• Is an integrated member of the CSI Global Operations FP&A team and the local site management teams.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enable more efficient and accurate processing and reporting of results to tight deadlines.
• Drive cost saving initiatives and aid management in the introduction of new product development.
• Work with the Operations Management team to ensure effective inventory management and reporting
• Business Partner with CooperSurgical finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of results in line with requirements for consolidation into the overall business results process.
• Publish Monthly Manufacturing KPI
• Support US GAAP position memo's on specific accounting issues and function as point of contact with the Technical Accounting team and TCC.
• Manages and develop a team of 1 direct and 1 dotted line.
• Support ERP development, testing and implementation activity
• Travel is approximately 10%.

 You Have:

• Work closely with Manufacturing Operations, Regional and Corporate management to ensure Operations Finance is a “Trusted Business Partner”.
• Direct, hands-on experience in creating, tracking and controlling actual, forecasts and budget metrics.
• A strategic mindset to challenge the norm and to drive an effective Operations Finance function in an efficient work environment.
• Proven ability to analyze actual vs. plan results and summarize underlying drivers of variances as well as providing clear and succinct interpretation of results to management.
• Broad technical accounting expertise, including good working knowledge of US GAAP & SOX
• Travel will form a necessary part of this role

• Must be prepared to work extended hours on occasion
• 7 to 12 years PQE
• A US multi-national company.
• Matrix style organization
• ERP system, Dataworks, Adaptive, Acumatica, Hyperion, Microsoft, Microsoft D365
• Qualified Accountant, Cost accountant or Financial background
• Master Degree in Finance or Accounting
• MBA preferred
