Retail Assistant Store Manager (Finance)
Oversee shipping and receiving between store and plant within appropriate time lines.
Ensure outgoing items are prepared and properly labeled (carts, hangers, rags, etc)Ensure all completed and required items are forwarded to headquarters (sales/cash reports, time cards, corrective actions, time-off requests, performance appraisals, etc)Maintain open communication with plant in regards to any shipment concerns and/or requests
Assist store manager in meeting or exceeding monthly production plan, as directed, while also ensuring all company quality and quantity standards are met.
Aid store manager in meeting or exceeding monthly sales goals and planned contribution.Assist store manager in all areas of human resources management, as directed.
Recruit, hire and train to ensure you have a functional cohesive staff.Performance Appraisals.Maintaining updated associate and consumer files.Corrective Actions.
Assist in completion of store staff work schedules, as directed by store manage. These schedules are to be written to meet company needs while staying within budgeted hours.Review and respond to customer complaints in a professional manner. Develop a store culture that prevents complaints. Develop and maintain a high level of customer service for staff.Follow all opening and closing procedures.Thermostats adjusted to meet seasonal needsAll lights; on at open, off at close (arrive 10 minutes ahead of opening shift).All doors; unlocked at open, locked at closeAll donated goods inside of buildingEnsure store is recovered to company standards at close of business.
Responsible for all cash handling issues.
Daily cash count sheetsBank DepositsRegister transactionsInvestigation of overages and shortages within appropriate time lines.
Follow weekly rotation policies on all goods.Responsible for periodic inventory, as scheduled.Provide complete and accurate information on all required items to be forwarded to corporate headquarters

Availability to meet operation needs.Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.Ability to respond to alarm and emergency calls - must have own phone.Ability to attend all scheduled retail training and meetings and provide own transportation and adequate insurance for such. Must maintain a valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance provider. Must be able to respond to alarm calls and make bank deposits.
Additional Duties:
Maintain a safe environment for all employees, participants and customers.Cashier, assist customers, process, clean and perform other non-managerial functions on a daily basis.Other duties as assigned by District Manager or Sr. Vice President of Retail Sales/Donated Goods.Ensure consistent use of, and maintenance of all company provided resources.Become an integral member of the store management team
Physical Requirements:
Ability to reach, bend, twist and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
