The newly formed Global MSAT team will support the Biologics Operations strategy, in particular regarding customer centricity, providing harmonized deployed services and more consistency in execution. It will also support the new technology introduction that we forecast in the coming years, with accelerated timelines. Internally, this new team will have a close interface with R&D and Group Operations (especially with Manufacturing Process, Technology & Innovation (MPTI)) for early alignment, priority setting, planning and execution of our global improvement agenda. The roles:
Due to the significant growth and future expansion of the Lonza biologics manufacturing operations network, we have four positions for Global MSAT Tech Transfer Scientist/Engineers. These positions will lead the technical transfer of multiple complex manufacturing processes (either USP and/or DSP) from the Slough pilot center of excellence or site to site across the global network. The role is accountable to ensure that a robust manufacturing process is transferred according to both internal and external customer needs. The role will also collaborate with the Group Operations MSAT professionals to drive cost reduction, speed of delivery and process improvement of tech transfers via Game Changing Initiatives (GCI's) programs.
The Global MSAT International Tech Transfer Scientist/Engineer will be a recognized process expert in USP or DSP operations. The individual will provide central technical support via multiple customer facing project teams to deliver existing but also new process technology advancement, perform complex technical Problem solving and deliver the required complex technical process definition in collaboration, negotiation and discussion with network sites and external customers as required. This role will have an established internal network and have influence and credibility across Global Operations in area of expertise and with senior MSAT management.
