The successful candidate should have hands-on implementation experience in Big Data technologies, event processing frameworks and ETL tools.
About the Role:
As Sr. Manager IT of DataEngineeringyou will be responsible for managing a team of Data Engineers, Data Analysts and Business Intelligence developers to deliver on critical data programs.Use agile engineering practices and various data development technologies to rapidly develop creative and efficient data products.
A strong candidate will useoperational skills to drive efficiency and speed,haveexpertiseinbuilding repeatable data engineering processes,usestrongagile andproject management skills to deliver data products.
Identify inefficiencies, optimize processes and dataflows,and make recommendations for improvements.
Align and integrate well with architects, data analysts, data modelers and other stakeholders
Support non-technical team members in understanding the technical implications of design decisions
Manage deliverables of developers,perform design reviews and coordinate release management activities.
Ideal Experience
5+ years of experienceleadingdata engineeringteams
10+ years of experience in designing & building Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence dashboards -Extensive knowledge of data warehouse principles,design,and concepts.
3+ years of experience in creating and maintaining ETL processes and architecting complex data pipelines-knowledge of data modeling techniques and high-volume ETL/ELT design.
Experience with public cloud-based data platforms and managed services, Data Lake infrastructure, Data Warehousing (e.g.Redshift), analytics tools, data visualization (such as Tableau,QuickSight) and machine learning capabilities (such asSagemaker,DataRobot)
Expert knowledge of data modeling techniques and high-volume ETL/ELT design.
Expert in SQL-development experience in at least one scripting language (Python etc.),adept in tracing and resolving data integrity issues
Experience managing offshore development teamsand knowledge of agile development process
Leadership Capabilities
Engages with Product owners to understand the Product vision
Partners with Delivery organizations and business to deliver on outcomes
Understands organizational OKRs and drives team to achieve or excel in delivering on key results
Driving Results-Has a passion for achieving excellence in delivery, solving complex problems, and taking ownership
