Job Title: Facility Maintenance Coordinator
Job Summary: The Facility Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for managing, tracking, and optimizing all spare parts, tools, and maintenance-related supplies for the facility. This role ensures that critical parts are available when needed, inventory accuracy is maintained, and costs are controlled. In addition, this position actively supports continuous improvement initiatives to streamline inventory processes and reduce downtime.
Essential Duties:
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance parts, tools, and supplies using the company's CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
Ensure optimal stock levels of critical spares to prevent equipment downtime while minimizing excess inventory.
Coordinate with vendors and purchasing to source, order, and expedite parts and supplies.
Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies to maintain inventory accuracy above target.
Develop and maintain a well-organized, clean, and compliant spare parts room.
Identify opportunities to improve inventory control processes, reduce costs, and optimize spare part availability.
Supports continuous improvement initiatives to streamline inventory processes, reduce downtime, and enhance overall equipment efficiency within a food manufacturing environment.
Ensure parts storage and handling comply with food safety standards (e.g., GMP, SQF, HACCP).
Maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections.
Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
Work closely with Maintenance Technicians, Engineers, and Production to ensure parts availability supports planned and unplanned work.
Skills & Abilities:
3+ years of experience in inventory management, maintenance storeroom, or MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) support role, ideally in food or manufacturing environment.
Strong computer skills
Experience with CMMS systems (e.g., JDE, SAP, or similar).
Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
Compensation:
Salary Range: $56,100 - $85,500 Salaried Non-exempt (eligible for overtime)
