Shipping Supervisor (Project Management)

Plan and direct all shipping activities, while ensuring accuracy of shipping documents and recordsCoordinate day-to-day activities of a team responsible for moving goods and materials from origin to destination, which may include developing schedules, methods and routes; analyzing costs; and coordinating clearances and permitsPlan, direct, and monitor transport and distribution activities so that company goods and materials are transported safely and cost-effectively and that they arrive at their destination on time and in good conditionMaintain accurate inventory and shipping recordsEnsure load compliance is appropriately followedManage raw material inventory, production scheduling, assembly, and packing of accessory itemsCoordinate and communicate labor hours, shift schedules, daily workload scheduling, and review performance, both at the individual and departmental levelResolve discrepancies through appropriate parties regarding invoices, packing slips, etc.Ensure effective material storage, through the point of being loaded for shipmentEnsure materials are staged for cycle counting; and internal systems accurately report material receivedCommunicate regularly with Customer Service to ensure on-time shipments and customer satisfaction; investigate and resolve customer problems and issues; notify appropriate stakeholders of potential quality issuesMaintain safe work environment and ensure compliance with all safety proceduresEnsure effective employee relations; provide coaching and developmentDevelop, communicate, and ensure compliance with policies and proceduresPerform other duties as may be assigned at managers discretion
