Position Summary

High West Distillery & Refectory is seeking a committed Host to provide a 5-star guest experience that is consistent with our high standards and values for customer service. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, hardworking, reliable and able to take charge in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a welcoming disposition. Responsibilities:

• Positively represent High West and its values
• Set a warm, welcoming tone as you greet and seat customers
• Maintain front entrance and coat check organization and cleanliness
• Provide professional and accurate information to guests and coworkers
• Be a liaison between our kitchen and service staff
• Help with event set-up and flow as needed
• Coordinate wait lists and reservations
• Organize menus and assist servers

Minimum Qualifications

• One to two years of experience in restaurant environment, preferably in host position.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed (must have flexible schedule)
• Effective communication skills and ability to maintain composure in high stress environment.
• Commitment to deliver an outstanding customer experience

Preferred Qualifications

• General knowledge and enthusiasm for craft distilling and spirits

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

• Works outdoors/indoors
• Works in warm/cold climates
• Works in high places
• Works on wet surfaces
• Is exposed to loud noise, fumes and/or toxic chemicals
• Works near moving, mechanical parts and lift truck traffic
• Must be able to move up to 55 lbs

Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work on a computer for extended periods. Lifting may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
