Lead HVAC Controls/BAS Field Service Technician (Finance)



As a Lead HVAC Controls/BAS Field ServiceTechnicianand part of the Service team here at Honeywell, you will be tasked with the supervision of installation and service of systems that will include, BAS/DDC, security, access controls, in a commercial, educational, construction and or retrofit environment. You will be expected to perform testing and start-up support functions across a wide range of electronicSecurity/Direct Digital Controls(DDC)/Building AutomationSystems (BAS), which will include proprietary software packages.

You will report directly to ourField ServiceManager.

**Must reside within 150 miles of the Honeywell Louisville, KY site (9901 Linn Station Road, Louisville, KY 40223).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, maintain, and repair various BAS systems
  • Program, troubleshoot, and maintainbuilding automationsystems to ensure optimal operating efficiency
  • Conduct regular system diagnostics to prevent potential issues through predictive maintenance
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate fire safety and BAS solutions
  • Provide training and support to junior technicians and other team members
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards
  • Document all service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records
  • Ability to work weekends and be on-call for customers
  • Company vehicle will be providedto travel to customer sites
  • Travel: Up to 15%

  • 3+ years of related DDC/BAS/HVAC Controlssystems experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
    Excellent customer service skills with experience in technical phone or onsite customer support including good interpersonal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record ability to pass background check

WE VALUE
  • Technical Diploma or Associates Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science or related field
  • Knowledge of DDC/BAS,HVAC, fire alarms, smoke control and/or security systems
  • Experience with systems that involve advanced solutions such as Honeywell Front End Computers such as EBI, Tridium N4,Honeywell XLS1000 and XLS3000, Edwards and Notifierfire alarm systemand other technologies for building DDC,fire alarmand security solutions
  • Building Networks infrastructure knowledge (wiring, CAT, Cables, Fiber optics etc.)
  • Understanding of typical communication topologies is important
  • Strong computer, software and network skills, and knowledge are necessary for this position
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook
