Job Summary:
As a Screw Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process. You will be responsible for setting up and operating mechanical equipment, ensuring that items meet quality control standards, and performing troubleshooting and adjustments as needed. Your ability to read blueprints, interpret engineering specifications, and adhere to safety and environmental policies will contribute to our continued success.
Job Duties:
- Run assigned mechanical equipment
- Ensure that items produced pass quality control requirements
- Perform moderately advanced troubleshooting of equipment and perform adjustments
- Read and interpret blueprints if applicable
- Use moderately advanced measuring instruments
- Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
- Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
- Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience and Education:
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Proficiency in handling complex issues and problems
- Comprehensive working knowledge of subject matter
Competencies/Skills:
- Ability to interpret work instructions
- Proficient in following written and verbal directions
- Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate mathematical skills
- Intermediate use of required gaging instruments
