Facility Sanitation Custodian (Finance)



We are excited to welcome a Facility Sanitation Custodian to our York, PA maintenance team! Join us in our mission to rid the world of rubber waste!

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 1st-shift (6:45a-3:00p)

Pay Range: $16-$19/hr, based on experience

Summary: This role will play a vital role on our team, keeping the facility clean and organized, supporting OSHA compliance, insurance recommendations, safety protocols, and internal ECORE best practices. This position will have responsibilities both internal to the building as well as the external property. Main areas of focus will be dust mitigation and cleaning, trash removal and pick-up, and other points of cleaning and inspection as put in place by the Plant Manager.

The Impact You'll Make:

  • Operate the Floor Sweeper to assure routine and nonroutine cleaning and compliance
  • Oversee the vacuuming and dust mitigation control efforts for the facility
  • Assist in our efforts to maintain environmental compliance. This includes routine and nonroutine clean up and containment efforts both internal and external to the building such as chemical storage areas; outside chemical and spill mitigation areas; propane storage areas; and battery charging/lift parking lot areas
  • Auditing of areas for safety and cleanliness compliance
  • Miscellaneous cleaning and organizational tasks as assigned to include but not limited to Window Washing, Inventory Storage Areas, Material Alignment, Storage Racking, Communication Area, Other Community Areas. Assist with other janitorial duties as needed
  • Trash pickup, emptying of receptacles in the plant

Essential Experiences:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Proven ability to multitask in a stressful environment (dirty, strict timelines, etc.), attention to detail, and adapt to changing demands
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Ability to read and understand units of measure
  • Demonstrated comfort with data entry and basic computer skills; ERP experience preferred
  • Must be safety conscious and carry out work responsibilities in a safe manner
  • Must be able to work overtime to meet operational requirements if needed
