Environmental Health Safety and Security Specialist (Finance)
Principal Purpose:
Responsible for implementing and administering the EHSS, Emergency Response, and Training programs at the Henry location. The position will ensure the site programs meet all Company, and Regulatory (OSHA, EPA, ISO, etc...) requirements and maintains a "continuous audit-ready" mode of operation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and administrate the Emergency Response/HAZMAT at the site including drills, training, coordination with outside emergency responders, maintaining emergency response equipment, planning and preparedness, and incident command.
Identify EHSS training needs of employees and establish a plan to meet those needs.
In conjunction with operator's supervisor/manager, certify operators in their current and new positions.
Maintain required documentation of training, procedures, and EHSS records, procedures.
Administer and maintain site fire protection systems including inspections and training.
Implement, administer, and ensure compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management (RMP) regulations.
Provide technical assistance to the plant on EHSS issues.
Maintain certifications required to perform EHSS responsibilities, such as RCRA, DOT, HAZWOPER, TOSCS, and NESHAPS.
Ensures safe and compliant operation, modification and installation of all required Emergency Response equipment in all buildings.
Assists with conducting accident investigations as needed and provides recommendations to prevent reoccurrence.
Acts as resource to Incident Commander as required during emergency situations in conjunction with Plant response staff
Participates in safety-related permit programs by issuing Hot Work and/or Confined Space entry permits, leads and coordinates Pre-Plan activities related to permits.
Assists with developing, maintaining, and reviewing facility EHSS Policies and Procedures to support corporate and regulatory requirements.
Manage and maintain site electronic databases for training and EHSS recordkeeping.
Participate in 6S auditing program.
Provide backup support for site EHS Supervisor as needed
Provide leadership to the behaviors and policies that result in operating the plant in a safe and environmentally sound manner.

Ability to lead teams in emergency situations and provide direction
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
Associates Degree in Emergency Response, Safety Management, Environmental Management, or Industrial Hygiene OR High School graduate with a minimum of 5 years EHSS experience.
Desirable:
Certifications and training related to this job description preferred.
Understanding and practical experience of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 programs.
Experience in Implementing and/or administering Environmental and Safety Programs
Experience with LDAR, PVC MACT, Boiler MACT, RICE MACT, and Title V requirements.
