Greets patients and visitors and directs them to appropriate locations.
Assists patients in the completion of all required paperwork relating to profiling data, insurance information and financial arrangements.
Maintains and updates patients' files.
Answers the telephone and directs callers to appropriate parties.
Schedules patients' appointments.
Coordinates all point of service billing activities, such as collection of fees, generation of invoices, posting of transactions to billing system and the scheduling of follow-up visits.
Pulls and re-files patients' charts, in accordance with the daily schedules of the dental professionals.
Provides backup assistance to the billing department by performing duties such as the posting of receivables, following up on outstanding account balances, and coordinating the mailing of invoices.
Performs other related duties, as assigned by practice management, from time to time.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multi-task environment
Excellent customer service skills (in-person and on phone)
Ability to work effectively with computerized management software
At least one-year of experience in a comparable position is preferred
