Your Role: Warehouse Operator
Under general supervision, helps to prepare outgoing shipments and unloading/sorting of incoming shipments. You will be responsible for all record keeping in regard to above and similar tasks, following Elanco's Standard Operating Procedures for the handling of hazardous wastes.
Shift: Monday-Friday, 3pm-11:30pm
Your Responsibilities:
Responsible for accurately filling, packaging and weighing D/C and all affiliate and outgoing shipments with minimal supervision, adding temperature monitors and loading of trailers and completing required paperwork
Must be competent and reliable driver of motor vehicles, including warehouse fork lifts, Pallet Transfer Machine and man-up lifts and working at heights of approximately 30 feet.
Must have good eyesight (corrected) in order to identify freight damage during loading and unloading
Must be physically able to perform job which includes sustained heavy lifting over extended periods of time.
Shall have a working knowledge of all product names, incoming materials, and storage locations.
Ability to operate Floor Scrubber, Floor Sweeper and other housekeeping duties.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
High school diploma or equivalent
Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to train others.
Ability to perform calculations and conversions involving weights, volumes, and percentages.
Demonstrated understanding of systems, equipment, and processes
What Will Give You the Competitive Edge (preferred qualifications):
Additional Education and/or Equivalent Experience
Understanding of Basic GMP/Documentation practices
Knowledge of Hazardous Waste Handling and Traffic Patterns
