Reports to the Practice Manager of the respective site within BMG. In collaboration with the Practice Manager, is responsible for overseeing the clinical staff, the effective coordination of all daily clinical operational support functions of the assigned facility and performs duties necessary to maintain a smooth functioning and efficient physician office. Assists in the overall operational staffing support functions of the assigned facility by:
Maintaining responsibility for scheduling of the clinical staff in order to provide adequate coverage for the providers, radiology and laboratory areas.
Working collaboratively with Managers to develop guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness and modifying activities as necessary to ensure exceptional customer service and work flow efficiency.
Identifying, analyzing and resolving day-to-day issues with staff, patients or clients.
Ensuring the efficiency of patient flow into and out of clinic and of completion of documentation.
Maintaining smooth daily operations in the clinical care unit, lab area and radiology department; also maintaining excellent public relations.
Conducting regular unit meetings and daily huddles to keep clinical staff informed of patient schedules, directives, policies and procedures.
Assisting in the hiring and development of the front office and clinical staff.
Participating in professional development activities. Assist and leads clinical staff in developing and implementing short and long-term work plans and objectives.
Ensuring clinical supply inventory is current, supplies are ordered in a timely manner, equipment is serviced and calibrated and offices are opened and closed according to established procedures.
Ensuring that patients are treated courteously by the clinical staff, maintain strict confidentiality.
Assisting Manager in performing annual employee performance appraisals, meeting with employees to discuss job performance, employee goals and accomplishments.
Collaborating with Manager in the review and use of technical statistical data for reports and records including documentation completion, EMR usage reporting and retention report to improve clinical procedures.
Performing clinical duties as needed to ensure efficient flow of patients through the clinic.
Acting as a point person and resource for clinical training needs, project implementations, competencies, EMR Super User, etc.
Performs other functions to maintain personal competence and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the department by:
Participating in the budget process with the Practice Manager; also assisting with the effective management/control of expenses.
Maintaining records, reports and files as required.
Keeping the Director/Practice Manager apprised of all issues which have the potential for a disruption of service. Working collaboratively with the Director/Practice Manager to address Physician issues.
Participating in continuous quality improvement by identifying areas of opportunity and initiating the necessary actions.
Completing other job related assignments and special projects as directed.

Education and Experience
The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion an LPN accredited school of nursing. Must have a current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Indiana. A minimum of 2 years of related healthcare experience is preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
Requires a working knowledge of general medical office methods, practices and procedures and medical record file systems.
Requires a working knowledge of third-party reimbursement procedures and requirements, including Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurance carriers.
Requires a working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology and the ability to utilize established and specialized technical coding process.
Demonstrates proficiency in computer skills (i.e., data entry, word processing and spreadsheets). A basic understanding of database applications is desired.
Demonstrates leadership skills necessary to gain the cooperation and support from the staff.
Requires the organization and analytical skills necessary to analyze situations/problems and provide timely resolution and work effectively with day-to-day problems.
