Job Description:
Epiq, a global technology-enabled services leader to the legal industry and corporations, takes on large-scale, increasingly complex tasks for corporate counsel, law firms, and business professionals with efficiency, clarity, and confidence. Clients rely on Epiq to streamline the administration of business operations, class action and mass tort, court reporting, eDiscovery, regulatory, compliance, restructuring, and bankruptcy matters. Epiq subject-matter experts and technologies create efficiency through expertise and deliver confidence to high-performing clients around the world.
The Vice President of Corporate Development will report to the Chief Financial Officer. This position will take ownership of all acquisition activities, working alongside the executive team throughout the full acquisition process from sourcing through deal execution to ongoing integration efforts. Strong communication, negotiation and analytical skills and attention to detail are essential as is the ability to work well as part of a team. The skilled candidate should be a highly motivated individual and leader to produce results and realize intended deal value. Lastly, the executive should bring an intuitive and creative mindset.
Specific Responsibilities:
Strategy Management: Acquisition identification, evaluation, positioning, screening, selection and rationale to growth objectives. Including business case development on new offering or legal market expansion.
Transaction Management: Deal origination, project management, due diligence, financial modeling, valuations and negotiations to include managing necessary advisors. This includes managing sign to close process.
Integration Management: Partner with the transformation team for integration into Epiq and track and drive the synergy sources of values and managing any TSA agreement separation or transition planning.
M&A governance and driving a timely process.
Market Research: Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify potential growth areas.
Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with senior management, investment bankers, and other stakeholders to align corporate strategies with business strategy and financial objectives.
Position Requirements:
At least 10+ years working in corporate development, investment banking, or private equity.
Technology Services or Software background required. Legal industry is nice to have, but not required.
Has experience leading and managing transactions in-house.
Has substantial experience and skills in strategic and financial analysis, complex deal structuring, project management, negotiations, and communication.
Can tell a story through data and variety of formats (verbal, written, presentations, etc.) and flex to a variety of audiences, both internal and external.
Is collaborative and brings an inclusive approach to leadership and problem solving.
Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills to guide and motivate teams.
Analytical Thinking: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate complex business scenarios.

The Compensation range for this role is 184,888.80 - 369,777.60 USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
