A Role You Will Love The Loan Modification Specialist II is responsible for verification and review of documentation submitted by the borrower(s) leading to the creation of an accurate financial profile which is used to submit in our proprietary decision engine for an appropriate workout option. Manage the underwriting pipeline for loss mitigation options per Federal, State, or Investor program options. Reviewing and handling one off special request as directed by management. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Management of the underwriting pipeline.
Creating a financial profile while minimizing potential fraud from borrower submitted documents used for loss mitigation workout options.
Gain knowledge for loss mitigation programs to include GSE, Investor specific.
Validate acknowledgement letter accuracy.
Special requests provided by management.
Other duties or tasks as assigned by management.

High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
Ability to interpret and apply GSE, Investor, Federal, and State loan program guidelines.
Ability to interpret and apply underwriting policies, guidelines, and procedures at an investor level.
Ability to understand and be compliant with CFPB requirements, legislative updates, and Investor specific requirements.
Ability to learn the organization and internal points of contact.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills; significant knowledge of mortgage servicing systems and applications, investor guidelines, mortgage insurance guidelines and loan workout strategies.
Intermediate PC/ Microsoft Office skills.
Ability to learn federal and state laws and compliance requirements related to loan servicing.
Ability to maintain professional independence while working closely with business units.
Needs to be creative in seeking optimum solution to a problem and extensive knowledge of mortgage loan servicing policies and procedures.
Must possess strong analytical/critical thinking skills and have the ability to suggest ways to minimize compliance risk;
Must possess the ability to prioritize workload and balance attention toward multiple projects.
